Rocket League coming to Xbox One?

Rocket League

“Rocket League? What’s that?” I hear you ask. Well, prepare to be enlightened.

It’s football. With rocket-powered cars instead of people. And a huge ball. And massive arenas. And no mullets. It is so much better than the real thing.

And, until now, the Psyonix developed indie game has been available only on PC and PS4, where (thanks to it being a free PS Plus title as well as being incredibly good fun) it has amassed a huge and devoted following.

Rocket League mayhem

In an interview with Red Bull, Psyonix CEO Dave Hagewood was asked if the game would ever come to the Xbox One.

“[Laughs] I can’t say,” he replied. “We’re looking at all kinds of platforms and there may be some announcements coming up at some point. Hopefully before the end of the year, but I can’t confirm that.”

Let’s keep our fingers crossed, because this gem of a game is brilliant fun. Played with friends, played competitively, or played as a drinking game (over 18s only, folks, and drink in moderation!) this is one game that deserves to reach as wide an audience as possible.
