Halo 5’s November Plans
Halo 5: Guardians has been out for over a week now and is already off to a great start. It’s already become the biggest Halo launch to date with $400 million in sales, as well as $500,000 in Microtransactions so far. (Ugh Microtransactions)
In a post on Halo Waypoint. 343i have outlined their plans for November. Plans include tweaks to playlists, as well as 15 new combinations of maps and game modes. SWAT is getting changes too, the respawn timer is dropping to 3 seconds and friendly fire will be turned off. The same blog post has also promised that Warzone Assault is getting tweaked with more news on that soon.
Do you know what the best part of this blog post is? ORION IS BEING REMOVED FROM PLAYLISTS. ISN’T THIS JUST THE BEST THING I MEAN SERIOUSLY THAT MAP SUCKED AND THIS IS FOR REAL. I’ve been repeatedly reading that one line of the post and it makes me so happy.
Removal of sucky maps aside, another big announcement in this post is Big Team Battle will make its return next week featuring 8v8 combat on huge open maps designed by some of the Halo community’s Forge masters with BTB maps drawing inspiration from classic Halo maps such as Standoff, Valhalla and Headlong.
The post also features an update on an aiming bug called “pegged state” which they will have a fix for soon. They also have a lengthy interview with one of the creators of Halo Tracker, a website that’s exactly what you think it is.
TL;DR – ORION IS GETTING REMOVED FROM PLAYLISTS THANK GOD.
