Assassin’s Creed Syndicate has two small Day One patches
Assassin’s Creed Syndicate is due to get two Day One patches, Ubisoft Community Manager Gabe Graziani has confirmed on Reddit.
“We actually have two patches that will be available on Day 1. The first patch (titled 1.10) will be 541MB, the second (titled 1.11) will be 534MB.”
This comes after rumours of an 18GB Day One patch. On that, Graziani commented:
“Not sure where 18GB came from… neither of the patches you will need to download are anywhere near that big.”
Day One patches are still a contentious issue but have now slowly become something of the norm. Usually, the smaller the size the better the state of the base game: The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt had only a 588MB update when it launched, though titles often receive gigabytes worth of updates.
Assassin’s Creed Unity had a 900MB patch on it’s first day, yet the game was widely criticised for it’s raft of glitches. Will Assassin’s Creed Syndicate fair better? We’ll find out this week when the game released 23rd October.
