Cortana Is Coming, But Not Just Yet

Bad news in one way but good in another

You should all be aware of the huge dashboard update for Xbox One which is Windows 10 powered, we have been promised some great new features and one of the stand out ones is Cortana. We have been teased with various videos showing Cortana in action but it has been revealed it won’t be available until 2016, Larry Hryb (Major Nelson) has quoted the following:

“Our plan is to add Cortana to the Xbox One experience preview later this year. From there, we’ll ensure that the experience is tuned for gamers before we officially launch Cortana in 2016.”

I think this is good news to be honest, it’s always better to delay something until it works perfectly rather than rush it out with bugs and flaws. If you’re unsure of what the Cortana app does for you or what the new update contains, check out the video below:

I’m still waiting patiently for the new experience, I am enrolled but good things come to those who wait. What’s your views on the new dashboard and Cortana, can’t wait or happy with the current system – let us know in the comments.
