Burnout Successor Teased By Developer

We have some great news for fans of the Burnout series. Three Fields Entertainment have teased fans with a couple of tweets that imply that a spiritual successor to the popular series could soon be in the works.

Three Fields Entertainment is a small studio based in the UK. It was set up last year by Alex Ward and Fiona Sperry, the original founders of Criterion.burnout2

They sent out two tweets in the last week that made some promises to fans of the Burnout series who aren’t particularly attached to the name. They started off talking about the projects they are working on.

The second tweet referenced the Burnout series directly and was the one that sent fans into a little bit of a frenzy.

Crashing was one of the main things that Burnout was famous for and was one of the things that brought fans to the series. There are four main games in the Burnout series, all of which are very different to each other. Which one then will this game be a successor to? Three Fields entertainment referenced this dilemma in another tweet.

The only new Burnout game in the seven years since Paradise has been a spin-off called Burnout Crash. A new game in the series, even under a different game will be a welcome addition. We will have to wait and see what the future brings.
