Mighty No.9 Release Date Confirmed

Deep Silver and Comcept have announced that their highly anticipated side-scroller, Mighty No. 9 has a release date. the game will be available both as a digital download and in physical form from Febuary 12 2016 on Xbox One.

Developed by an all-star team of veteran developers headed by Keiji Inafune, Mighty No. 9 is a side-scrolling game that offers more than a small challenge. It givers the feeling of playing a classic 8 or 16 bit game but with a modern twist.mightyno9

Advances in robotic technology have brought about a new era of peace and prosperity were violence has all but been eradicated. The only place where brutality can be found is in the Battle Coliseum. Dr White is the creator of the nine most famous fighting robots, these robots he named the Mighty Numbers as their names were simply numbers one to nine. During one of the Coliseum battles a cyber attack takes place and eight of the robots go on a rampage and it is up to the ninth, Beck, to stop them.

This is where you come in. You play as Beck. You must run, jump, blast and transform your way through a total of twelve stages, taking on the other mighty robots as you go along. You can tackle the stages in almost any order you like, picking up weapons from your enemies as you go.mightyno91

This looks to be an exciting title from a classic team of developers and could be a good start to the year. We will have to wait until February 12 to see if it lives up to expectations.
