Lego Dimensions – Long Terms Plans

So Lego is recommended for people 3 years and over right? Well what if I was to tell you that’s true (to an extent with Lego Dimension. That’s right, Lego Dimensions which launched today will be supported for the next ‘3yrs+’ with additional levels and characters, a producer said this weekend at EGX2015.

To Eurogamer, Mark Warburton of developer TT Games said add-ons will be supported until at least 2018 “and we’ve got no intention of stopping there.”

Lego dimensions fits in nicely with the current toys-to-life genre with its competition coming from the likes of Skylanders and Disney Infinity’s mass of characters. To against these Lego have had to pull somthing big out of the bag, and by the looks of it, have pulled it off. Capturing imaginations and doing the unimaginable teaming up ulikly characters to take on the evil villain.

“We’ve created the toy pad so that it shouldn’t need to be updated,” Warburton told Eurogamer, “and we can just create new level and character packs to keep expanding that.”

The Lego Dimensions starter pack includes three figurines, Batman, Gandalf from Lord of the Rings, and Wyldstyle from The Lego Movie. The first wave of add-ons also launched today, involving The Simpsons, Back to the Future and more. Three more waves are planned for launches in November, January and March.

Really looking forward to this, like 99% of world I love lego and if you couldn’t tell by me being here I like gaming so why not mix them together, cant wait!! This is great news and shows it’s definatly not going to be a one hit wonder. Have you got your hands on it yet? Whats your views on it?
