Rainbow Six: Siege Will Not Have A Single-Player Campaign
At EGX 2015, Rainbow Six: Siege’s Art Director Scott Mitchell revealed that the game will not include a single player campaign, instead opting for a focus on the Multiplayer component.
Specifically, Scott said: “There is no story mode per se. You go through training, where you get to experience different operators and their devices. You can play against enemy AI in co-op through all the maps. You can customise matches, so that’s what we’re offering on the single-player side of things”, adding that you will still be unlocking content as you would if you play PvP.
Whilst it’s not unusual for a game in this day and age to ship without a single-player campaign (look at Titanfall, Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare, or even the soon to be released Star Wars: Battlefront), for a Rainbow Six game to do so is almost unheard of.
