Gamer Logic – Sometimes You Just Have To Laugh

Time to raise a smile at some of the games we love

If there’s one thing we all have in common here it is a love for video games, regardless if it’s shooting, sports or racing. We all have our favourites but most have something similar in each and every one of them, it’s known as gamer logic. This is where the game allows us to do something that gives us the same reaction, that face you pull if you smell fish and makes you say “what is that all about?”. Let’s take a look at a few gamer logic pictures, can you read all the way through without either agreeing or laughing (bet you a drink you can’t).

First up is one of the greats, we all know of HALO and the gamer logic is epic here:

So basically what we have here is an out and out combat hero with some very odd flaws, as much as we love Master Chief he has some amazing gamer logic that makes us laugh. Also don’t forget, he fell from space and lived to tell the tale but meets his maker when he falls 100 foot.

Time for another one of the big games we all love, Grand Theft Auto has a huge following but gamer logic appears greatly too:

The police force are amazing in GTA, you can escape pursuit from the boys in blue by either getting a respray or by simply going into your home. Plus the scope on the gun that amplifies sounds really is an attachment that all weapons need.

Next up is my current game of choice even with the new ‘Taken King’ update, Destiny has gamer logic in abundance and makes me laugh:

As much as I enjoy playing Destiny, I do find myself asking “Do you think that really makes sense?”, I also laugh that it takes the same amount of time to travel any distance in your ship – regardless of distance.

Let’s take a look at the more strategic shooter – Battlefield, you’d have thought gamer logic would have escaped this one but you are oh so wrong:

I’m no mechanic but I’m pretty sure you can’t fix and inflatable boat with fire, also I’m no medic but surely a defibrillator won’t save someone that fell out of a helicopter? Not to mention the famous line by your AI team mates “You go, I’ll cover you!!”, then they either become a worse shoot than a Storm Trooper or stop shooting all together.

Last up for your laughs today is Call Of Duty, I couldn’t do Battlefield without this one. There are some real gamer logic gems here, let’s see what’s going on:

To be honest, these were the best I found from loads. Next time you play COD you may be one of the three armed soldiers, not sure what I mean then I’ll explain. If you’re running with akimbo weapons then both hands have guns in, press the melee attack button then a magical third hand appears. Welcome to the elite three hand crew, probably something you never noticed before but always will from now on.

So, did you make it to the end here without laughing or nodding in agreement? I hope not as I will owe a lot of people a drink or two, if you did laugh or agree then you find the whole gamer logic idea as funny as I do which makes you a little more awesome than you were already.

What about Skyrim logic? In the middle of a fight with a giant dragon.. Better eat a giant wedge of CHEESE!

Or for that matter any game that pauses the game while you heal. “I know you’re trying to kill me but give me a sec to heal..”

Funny. But in defense of radio after EMP, the military actually upgraded much of it’s equipment with wire shielding to survive EMPs attacks.
