WRC 5 to release this October
Developer Kylotonn Games and publisher Bigben Interactive announced yesterday that WRC 5 will release between 9th October 2015 and 16th October depending on your geographic location. Listings for WRC 5 in the UK currently peg 16th October.
Touted as the first rally game to land on new-generation consoles – though the game will also drive out on Xbox 360 and other formats – players will be given the opportunity to race as all current WRC, WRC 2, WRC 3 and Junior WRC drivers. Over 20 cars will be available with 50 liveries and teams, taking in 65 new special stages in 13 countries. Expect car damage, tyre and engine management; hotseat and online multiplayer modes; a new rendering and physics engine; dynamic weather and night-time special stages.
If you pre-order the game from select retailers – GAME in the UK; ebgames and jbhifi in Australia; ebgames, jbhifi and mightytape in New Zealand – you’ll receive the WRC Conept Car S, a unique car designed by Kylotonn Games that mixes assets from all the rally machines in WRC 5 to make a ‘super vehicle’. It sports the Rallye Monte-Carlo 2015 livery, for all you livery buffs.
