Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate is just around the corner and one of the big new things this time is the carriage. In the same talks with Examiner that we posted earlier this week, Scott Phillips the Game Director of Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate also spent a great deal of time talking about the new vehicles coming, namely the carriages.
While the carriages was a “luxury” item for most people of the timeperiod, there will still be enough around that you shouldn’t have a problem finding one.
“The [AI] density will change according to the district, location you’re in as well as the time of day, but I wouldn’t say [there is a time when] you’ll never be able to find a carriage,” Phillips explained, “They will be pretty prevalent and common throughout the entire city.”
The carriages won’t just be the same everywhere, there will be different types with different styles. While you won’t be able to customize it yourself, it will be customized towards your gang, The Rooks.
The carriages can also be very destroyed, as you can use them to ram into pretty much everything there is. That way, they are the perfect tool to spread some terror on the streets of London. Be careful though, as Scott explained that while you can do awesome stuff with the carriage, it will get more and more broken over time.
“Yes you can run over pedestrians and enemy gang members. It can be used offensively.”
The police won’t be that much of a worry according to Scott.
“Since there are no police radios or that sort of thing, the police will whistle to call nearby policemen if they witness a crime, but there is no omnipresent police force that sees every action,” Phillips explained, “It’s only if a police offer really sees something, then they’ll begin following you and get other police to get you.”
The carriages will be available the moment you step foot in London, so if you want to wreak havoc from the very beginning, that should be open to you pretty quick. Thoughts on the carriages? Leave them down below in the comment section. Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate comes rolling to you the 23rd October, get yourself comfortable, we’re in for a bumpy ride.
