PES 2016 makes it’s public debut, Demo details announced

‘Love the Past, Play the Future’ is the tagline for the latest version of Pro Evolution Soccer 2016, as KONAMI today shared a lot of details ahead of gamescom.

PES 2016 will be playable for the first time at this years gamescom in Colne and KONAMI is hoping for it to win “Best Sports game” 2 years in a row. It uses the FOX engine (also being used by Metal Gear Solid V) and has some significant advancements, it will feature 3 times more animations than last years title, much focus has been placed on Goalkeepers animation this time and outfield players will benefit from a greater variety of movements and techniques.

PES 2016 also features dynamic weather for the first time ever as matches than start overcast can suddenly turn into torrential rain, only to be bright and sunny towards the end of the match, much like real life. The rain also changes how the physics of the ball and the ability of players, as less skilled players are more likely to slip and fall in wet periods. Add to this the new real time ball physics that keeps each and every moment and match unique.
