There are now more than 100,000 achievements on Xbox Live since the Xbox 360 launched in November 2005.
According to TrueAchievements, Xbox live has 100,000 achievements spanning 3100 games with a total possible Gamerscore of 2.3 million!
The popular achievement hunting resource analysed a number of statistics, breaking them down into the graphs and pie charts you see here. Obviously the 360 has the highest distribution of achievements among all of the platforms at 76%.
2011 had the most achievements in any given year, but 2015 is projected to have an even bigger year.
Stallion83, the first user to hit 1 million Gamerscore, is the only user to have earned more than 50% of Xbox Lives’ achievements.
It should be noted, than some of the numbers are only based on registered users of TrueAchievements. Check out the info graphs for some of the more interesting achievement statistics.
What are your thoughts on the sheer number of achievements available, what is your current score and is it important to you? I sit at a modest 50k (ish), at first it meant everything to me, but now, not really (as long as I’m higher than my friends), I also like using the Xbox One’s tracker of Gamerscore over the last 30 days, see how busy I have been playing games.
