A sizzling title that’s streaking it’s way to Xbox
If you’re anything like me, there are two things that are well and truly loved. I love gaming and I love bacon, now the two have been combined for an epic duo combo. Prepare to enter a world known as ‘Nomround’ which is ruled by ‘Old King Roast Beef’, then tragedy strikes and he is brutally murdered. This is where we find our hero Bacon Man, the rightful heir to the Meat Throne, has been framed by the ‘Food Kings’ and this is where things start cooking as it’s you against the world.
Step up and battle through the food groups and face those who condemned you. It’s up to you to clear his name, take revenge by seeing off those who put you behind bars. You can choose to take the role of ‘Bacon Man’ or as one of 3 additional characters – each with their own individual story line and unique play style. Push your action platforming skills to the limit, use your combat moves that also double up as modes of mobility. Pummel, shoot and dash your way through the beautiful yet dangerous regions of Nomround. You will travel through iconic settings such as the floating Pomegranate City, vast deserts of Udon, dense and lush Vegan Valley, and the awe-inspiring Mount Broc.
- Follow the trials and tribulations of anti-hero Bacon Man across a planet filled with vibrant characters and epic lore.
- Beat enemies to a pulp with your bare hands, or fill ’em full of bread with your toaster gun.
- This ain’t no crossword! Unlock hidden areas by mutilating enemies and uncover the secrets of the PieTech.
- Get that bling bling. Collect money and experience, and use them to level up characters.
- Pick your friends wisely with a two-player cooperative experience.
Let me be the first to say thank you to Skymap Games for coming up with this delicious duo, based in Boston MA they are a video game design and development company that transforms ideas into ambitious interactive entertainment. Bacon Man perfectly mixes fighting, shooting, and physics based abilities to create a challenging experience in a beautifully rendered world inspired by the food groups. It’s also very clear this fully funded Kickstarter/ID@XBOX treat has been crafted in the spirit of some of the classic and favourite childhood titles such as Earthworm Jim, the Rayman series and Mega Man X.
I am already loving the sound of this and can’t wait to give it a few plays, plus it is sheer genius to combine sweet sweet bacon and fun indie gaming. Will you add this to your collection, also is it just me or do you fancy a bacon sandwich too now?
