Forza Motorsport 6 – New Mod System

VRRRMMMMM VRRRMMMMM That’s an engine revving in case you didn’t realise. It’s revving in anticipation for a new mod system that’s being introduced into Forza Motorsport 6, no don’t worry it doesn’t turn your car into a chicken or elephant or whatever animals were available on GTA 5, Nope, this is a difficulty mod system.

In a showcase for the game, Turn 10 Studios’ creative director, Bill Geise unveiled this new feature and likened it to Halo’s skull system, players can change difficulty in that series by turning on a series of mod which affect the game play. One example given was players would start at the back of the grid with no rewinds, meaning you’d have to come from behind with no mistakes, damn that’s hard.

With difficulty increasing, you can expect XP and Cash to increase too, so if you’re epic at these kind of games expect to be rolling in the benjamins.

Are you a Forza Fan? Up for these new mods? Can you just about hill start when actually driving? Not sure what a flappy paddle gear box is? Get involved and join the conversation by dropping a comment below!

  1. Doesn’t seam like this should be called a mod more like something you just change in the settings menu

  2. More ‘settings’, than a ‘mod’. Still, it’s about time Forza had these.
