Broken Sword 5: The Serpents Curse heading to Xbox One

Revolution Software have announced that they are bringing their hugely popular Broken sword game to Xbox one. Broken Sword 5: The Serpents Curse will be an enhanced version to what is already released on PC, Apple and Android devices. It is set to be released this Summer and I couldn’t be happier as i haven’t played these episodes yet. Especially playing the whole series growing up this is going to bring back some great memories :).

Broken Sword 5 started as a Kickstarter campaign and was an instant hit and reached its goal in only 13 days. Revolution is now working on bringing George and Nico’s latest adventure to next-gen consoles. Digital versions will be published by Revolution through the Xbox Games Store. Retail versions, which will include the game’s introduction as a graphic novel, will be distributed throughout Europe and EMEA by Ravenscourt.

Charles Cecil, Founder & CEO of Revolution Software has said in a statement “We are delighted to bring Broken Sword 5 to PS4 and Xbox One – with enhancements over the other versions including additional animation and audio, a character gallery section and many console-specific enhancements. The Broken Sword games have a proud history on previous PlayStation and Xbox consoles. There is such a loyal following for the Broken Sword games, as demonstrated by the 15,000 fans who backed the original Kickstarter campaign – it’s fantastic to now be able to bring the game to all those console owners who have requested that we write the game for their favorite platform”

You will play as the journalist George Stobbart as well as french journalist Nico Collard, you will find yourself on a trial of a stolen painting and a murder conspiracy.
