Warframe Update Released

Developer Digital Extremes have released a new major update for its Free-to-Play game Warframe. The update, named The Tubemen of Regor, will completely upgrade the playing experience with a whole array of improved features.

Some of these features include improved frame rates, integrated support for squads of up to eight in Trials and a newly introduced game mode that allows for combat against old rivals, the forming of new alliance’s in a new co-op experience. Trials missions will be updated on a timed basis, with the first been a mission called The Law of Retribution.warframe1

There will also be two new events for a limited time. These are:

Operation False Profit: Stop Corpus boss Nef Anyo and his new Bursa assault robots before they become a mortal threat to Tenno everywhere! This Operation is available until 6pm GMT on June 11.

Operation Tubemen of Regor: Tenno have the opportunity to strike at the heart of Tyl Regor’s secret cloning labs, but this opportunity comes with a difficult choice. Help Nef Anyo? Or, help Alad V? Available 6pm June 17 until 6pm June 25

Along with these great  upgrades there is also a handful of new weapons been added. These include:

BOLTACE – An intimidating Tonfa set designed to match the design of the Boltor.

DAIKYU – It takes great strength to draw back, but provides added power and range.

ATOMOS – This particle cannon generates condensed beams of super-heated plasma designed to melt rock to ore, and enemies to molten slag.

TONKOR: Hurl mayhem and destruction at the enemy with the Tonkor! Grenades from this Grineer launcher explode on impact. Use their blasts to propel yourself to new heights!

On top of all of this is two new PvP game modes. The first is a team death match style mode where the players earn points for their team by collecting Oro dropped by fallen foes. There is also a free-for-all mode been added where players pit themselves against seven other players. Along with these new modes four new maps will also be added to the rotation, Canyon Settlement, Freight Line, Navigation Array and Docking Bay.
