Before you get particularly excited, there’s a catch: so far, the promotion is only available to those who have received an email from Microsoft. Best check that inbox.
The offer gives both the referrer and the friend a free 12-month subscription to EA Access, a normally paid-for service that offers a range of EA games on-demand and occasionally gives early access to games before their official launch. An example of this includes Star Wars Battlefront, set to release later this year but playable “first on Xbox One”, presumably via EA Access.
To qualify for this promotion, the console must be bought from the Microsoft Store. It only appears to be valid on a £314.99 bundle containing a black 500GB Xbox One, a copy of Forza Horizon 2 and a 3-month membership to Xbox Live. The email giving this offer will be sent to the address you have associated with your Xbox Live account, should you receive one at all – exactly what the criteria is for being invited has so far not been stated.
