Next Assassin’s Creed To Be Revealed in Four Days
Get your hidden-blades and hoods at the ready: there’s a new Assassin’s Creed on the way.

There’s been many rumours Ubisoft’s ninth main game in the Assassin’s Creed franchise will be subtitled “Victory”, and will be set in Victorian London. There’s a teaser site with a rainy animation (well that almost certainly confirms it’s set in Britain, then) showing crossed arms kitted out with a hidden-blade, brass knuckles, a wrist-mounted pistol that resembles a miniature cannon, and a walking stick with what could be an eagle’s head mounted on top with the Assassins’ insignia on the fitting with the stick. There’s also the phrase “Oppression Has To End”, and the site contains references to the name Jacob, which could point to the name of the next protagonist.
The reveal is set to take place at 17:00 GMT on 12th May at the teaser site. Will Ubisoft listen to fans’ requests of female playable characters, or at least avatars, in any co-operative or multiplayer modes? Is this game going to release in a better shape than Unity, which required many patches? Can we get away with writing future Assassin’s Creed articles in Cockney rhyming slang? Let’s hope it’s a “yes” to all three.
