Indie developer Blazing Badger’s debut game AIPD (Artificial Intelligence Police Department) claims to have over 100,000 game modes, that’s not possible right? Well it is if you use all of the game modes possible combinations. The top down action packed twin stick shooter has a very familiar 80’s neon feel to it, easily recognisable from films such a Tron.
This independent developer based in Frankfurt, Germany has recruited some of the leading veterans in the industry who have worked on titles such as Crysis, Uncharted, Spellforce, the Settlers series and Xbox One game Lords of the Fallen. Blazing Badger have been working on AIPD for over 9 months and have the opportunity to show off a pre-alpha build at GDC (Game Developers Conference) in San Francisco at the beginning of March, they will also be alongside Epic Games in the Unreal Engine booth.

What can I customise?
There’s plenty of conditions for the player to choose from when creating a game, from the rate of difficulty for the game, frequency of enemy spawns and pressure, conditions on gaining super weapons, critical fail options, the range of pickups that can appear on the map, special rules that change the game dynamics and scoring options.
The game is powered by Unreal Engine and features the ability to customise your ship with skins, weapons and special items that cater specifically for your custom built challenges, there is again plenty of options for players to tweak and adjust. Players can also join friends in local cooperative play with up to 4 players and take on weekly randomised game challenge for a limited time.
The game is currently set for a May 2015 release but we’ll make sure to keep you up to date should that change.
