I saw this game but hadn’t seen or heard anything about it. I was amazed by the stunning visuals that was put before me, at first thinking they was just video cut scenes until I realised the game I was watching was actual gameplay footage.
So what is Pneuma: Breath of Life? Using the power of Unreal Engine 4 and Physically Based Rendering, you play as Pneuma a god who is voiced by the award winning voice actor Jay Britton. Described as being self-obsessed and comical, the character struggles to journey through the puzzling world. Pneuma provides players with an unrivalled sense of adventure and a relentless determination to solve each puzzle and progress through a story of self-discovery, exploring the fundamental nature of being.
Progress through a series of challenging puzzles that require perception, observation, and lateral thinking skills to succeed. This to me gives a massive similarity to the ITV program, The Cube (if you haven’t seen it I recommend) as the game isn’t about your skill with a controller, it’s about how you perceive and analyse situations. Pneuma’s story is one that can only be told through the interactive medium of video games.
Push your brain to its limits in this exciting new first person puzzler as Pneuma contemplates the nature of reality and you explore the ontological mystery of the Breath of Life.
With a release date of Friday 27th February at a bargain price of only £15.99, I feel this is a must for someone who wants a challenging game that will get their minds active, whilst enjoying stunning visuals and comical dialogue.
