Blue Estate – Coming Soon / Preview
Blue Estate is due for release on February 18th on Xbox One courtesy of HeSaw and the ID@XBox program.
We’ve had some serious hands on with the title, and while you’ll have to wait till the 18th to read our full review, We can tell you it’s shaping up to be a great little title, with smooth and responsive controls both gamepad and Kinect based.
There’s 8 missions in total, and with a varied selection in both enemies and locations, and a fair few special weapons to pick up which work together with Slow-Mo signs to help you take down large groups of enemies.
As always the Longevity of On-Rails shooters is always an issue, but I’ve happily played through various missions a couple of times without boredom, so while the main game might only last 3 hours or so, It can easily be doubled, especially if your a fan of Rail Shooters, and fans of Achievements will be leased to know there’s a fair few that will take more than a little practice, with others ranging to progress related to others which are simple once you actually know what to do.
Graphically it’s sharp, and while it ranges from drab and dull to colorful and vibrant the atmosphere and locations set the scene really well across each area.
The range of enemies is also good, but when you’re shooting down hundreds per mission you’ll obviously see more than a few repeated models.
We’ll have a full review on release date, and remember to keep an eye on our Competitions Page as we will be giving away a handful of free copies ready for release day.
